Terms of Service

1. Who we are, and your agreement

Seqtrix is run by Param Nimbark, a solo founder in Ahmedabad, India (“Seqtrix”, “we”, “us”). These terms cover the Seqtrix desktop application for Microsoft Windows, the website at seqtrix.com and everything sold through it (together, “the Service”).

By installing or using the app, creating an account, or buying anything from us, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refund and Cancellation Policy and our Shipping and Delivery Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be 18 or older to create an account or buy anything from us. If you use Seqtrix for a company, you confirm you may bind it to these terms.

2. What Seqtrix is

Seqtrix is a desktop application for workflow automation, file security and focus on Windows. seqtrix.com provides the download, account management, purchases, the template gallery and the share gallery. The app works without an account; an account is needed only to buy, sync or share.

What a paid tier includes. Advanced and Pro are licences to use the desktop application with the features of that tier: the visual sequence builder, the action library, the Mini Mode launcher, Focus Lock, cross-device sync and the template categories assigned to the tier. Templates are ready-made sequences shipped inside the app; they are software functionality unlocked by your tier, not separately sold files. The current per-tier breakdown is on the templates gallery and the pricing page; which features belong to which tier can change for future purchases, never for a pass you have already paid for.

3. Accounts

• One account per person. Shared, resold or automated accounts are not allowed.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials private and for everything done under your account. Tell us at help@seqtrix.com if you suspect misuse.
• A pass or plan is attached to the account that paid for it. It is not transferable to another person or account.

4. Plans, passes and prices

4.1 Starter is free

The Starter tier is free for as long as we offer it, with the limits shown on the pricing page. Every new install also gets a free 15-day Advanced trial with no card and no obligation.

4.2 Advanced and Pro are fixed-term passes

• A pass is one payment for a fixed term: a 30-day pass or a yearly pass (365 days). It starts when the payment succeeds, or at the end of your current pass if you already have one, and it ends when its days are used up.
• A pass does not renew. Nothing is charged again unless you buy another pass, or unless you have chosen auto-renew where we offer it (section 5.3). There is no mandate to cancel and we keep no card on file.
• When a pass ends, the app keeps running for a short grace period and then returns to the Starter limits. Nothing you made is deleted.
• Current prices are on the pricing page. At the time of writing: Advanced $4.99 per 30 days or $49 per year; Pro $9.99 per 30 days or $99 per year. A price change applies to purchases after the change, never to a pass you have already paid for.

4.3 Currency

Prices are in US dollars (USD). At checkout you may choose to be charged in Indian rupees (INR) instead; the INR amount shown at checkout is then the amount you pay. Your bank may add a foreign-transaction or conversion fee that is outside our control and is not refundable by us. If a tax must be added for your country, it is shown before you pay.

4.4 Pro Lifetime (not on sale today)

We may offer a Pro Lifetime licence. Until the pricing page shows a buy button for it, it is not for sale and nothing here promises it. When we do offer it, this is what it means:

• One payment, no end date, no renewal, for the Pro features of the Seqtrix desktop application on the devices signed in to your account.
• “Lifetime” means the life of the product, not your life. You get Pro, including future Pro features of the desktop application, for as long as Seqtrix is sold and supported by us. It does not cover separately priced products or services we may offer later.
• If we discontinue Seqtrix, the last released version keeps working offline with its Pro features, and we owe no further updates, fixes or services. If that happens within 12 months of your purchase, email us and we refund the Lifetime price less the Pro pass value of the months you had it. After 12 months from purchase there is no refund.
• A Lifetime licence is tied to your account and cannot be transferred, shared or resold.

5. Payments

5.1 Our payment partner processes every payment

Payments are processed by our payment partner, a payment aggregator authorised by the Reserve Bank of India, by card, UPI, netbanking or wallet. Your card, UPI or bank details go to the payment partner and never reach us; we receive only the payment reference, the amount, the currency, the payment method type and the email you gave at checkout. The payment partner emails your receipt.

5.2 Delivery and refunds

A pass is delivered instantly as a licence activation on your account, as described in the Shipping and Delivery Policy. Refunds follow the Refund and Cancellation Policy: within 7 days of purchase if the pass has not been activated in the app, otherwise only for a verified defect we cannot fix within 7 days.

5.3 If you choose auto-renew (not offered today)

Passes do not renew by themselves. If and when we offer auto-renew, it works only as follows:

• Opt-in only. Auto-renew starts only if you tick the box labelled “Renew automatically” on the pricing page before you pay. The box is unticked by default. Left unticked, you buy a single pass and nothing is charged again.
• You see the amount and the interval before you consent. The checkout states the exact amount and how often it is charged (for example, $9.99 every 30 days or $99 every year, until you cancel).
• Pre-debit notice. We email you before each charge, at least 24 hours ahead and normally 3 days ahead, with the amount and the date. For cards issued in India and for UPI, your bank also applies the Reserve Bank of India's e-mandate rules: a one-time approval when the mandate is set up, the bank's own pre-debit notification, and the right to cancel the mandate with your bank.
• Cancel any time. Cancel from your account page or by email to help@seqtrix.com. Cancellation takes effect from the next cycle: you keep the period you paid for and nothing is charged again. You may instead cancel at once; unused days are not refunded either way.
• No silent price changes. A mandate is never charged more than the amount you consented to. If a price rises, we email you at least 30 days before it would apply, and the higher amount is charged only after you consent again; otherwise your plan simply ends at the current end date.
• Failed charge. If a charge fails, the payment partner retries for 3 days while you keep access. If it still fails, renewals stop, and after a short grace period the app returns to the Starter limits. Nothing is deleted.
• Pro Lifetime never renews and never involves a mandate.

5.4 Disputes and chargebacks

If you think a charge is wrong, email help@seqtrix.com before raising a chargeback; we answer within 2 working days. We answer every chargeback with the activation log for the pass (section 3 of the refund policy). A chargeback on a pass you have activated is a breach of these terms and may end your access.

6. Referral credits

• Referral rewards are credits, not cash: days of Advanced added to the pass of each side when a referred person signs in with a verified account. The current amount and the yearly cap are shown in the app and on the referral page.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged, transferred or refunded, and do not extend a Lifetime licence.
• We may withhold or remove credits for abuse, including self-referral, fake or throwaway accounts, paid or spam promotion, or anything that breaks section 12. We may change or end the referral programme for future referrals at any time.

7. The share gallery and sequences you publish

• You keep ownership of every sequence you publish. By publishing, you grant Seqtrix a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, copy and let other users download and run the sequence, with the display name you chose, for as long as it stays published. Other users may run and modify it for their own use.
• You confirm you have the right to publish what you share and that it contains no one else's confidential data, credentials or copyrighted material you may not distribute.
• Prohibited content: sequences that steal or exfiltrate data, install or spread malware, damage or wipe systems without clear warning, attack other people's systems or services, harass, defame or impersonate anyone, contain passwords, keys or personal data, break any law, or bypass licence or security measures of any software.
• Takedown. Anyone can report a share with the Report button on its page or by email to help@seqtrix.com with the page address. Three distinct reports hide a share automatically pending review. We may remove or hide any share at any time and may suspend accounts that publish prohibited content. You can unpublish your own shares at any time.
• Shared sequences are provided as is by their publishers. Review a sequence before you run it; section 10 applies to everything you run.

8. Your content

Your sequences, encrypted files, vaults and .seqlock files are yours. We do not claim ownership of anything you create, encrypt or store with Seqtrix, and we do not access, scan or analyse the contents of your encrypted files. If you turn on cloud sync, we store a copy of your sequences to restore them on your other devices; encrypted sequences are stored as ciphertext we cannot read.

9. Encryption and security: your responsibility

Seqtrix provides file encryption (AES-256-GCM), password locking for files, folders and applications, vaults, file hiding and secure deletion by overwriting. By using them you accept that:

• We cannot recover a lost password or key. Keys and passwords are generated and kept on your device only. If you lose one, the data it protects stays permanently inaccessible, to you and to us.
• Secure deletion is irreversible, and on SSDs and other flash storage, overwriting cannot guarantee that every copy of a file is gone. Keep backups before you encrypt, lock, hide or wipe anything.
• Locking a critical application or system file and forgetting the password is your risk.
• No software is unbreakable. We use standard algorithms and practices, but we make no warranty that any protection withstands every threat.
• The installer may trigger a Windows SmartScreen warning. We do not claim that the installer is code-signed; download only from seqtrix.com or the Microsoft Store.

10. Templates and automation: your responsibility

Seqtrix runs sequences on your own machine: it opens and closes applications, types text, presses keys, runs commands and changes files. Templates, shared sequences and your own sequences are provided as is and may not suit your system. You are responsible for reviewing any sequence before you run it and for any data loss, file changes, system changes or disruption that running it causes, whoever wrote it.

11. Focus Lock and the Panic key

Focus Lock blocks apps and websites you choose for a period you set. The Panic key runs a sequence that locks Windows and mutes the speakers. Both are productivity aids, not security controls, and we make no promise that they block anything or anyone. In particular:

• Website blocking works through the Windows hosts file. A browser that resolves names over DNS over HTTPS (DoH), a VPN, a proxy, another device or an edit to the hosts file bypasses it.
• The Microsoft Store build cannot stop you from uninstalling Seqtrix during a Hard session, and a Store update may pause the session watchdog until the next launch. The installer build refuses uninstall during a Hard session, but anyone with administrator rights on the PC can end a session by other means.
• The Panic key locks Windows within a few seconds, not instantly, and its mute step is a toggle. It is not a substitute for locking your PC yourself.
• A Hard session is designed not to end early. Check the end time and the Always allowed list before you start one; we cannot end it for you, and we are not liable for work you cannot reach during a session you started.

You stay responsible for what you block, for your own use of these features and for anyone you let use your PC.

12. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Seqtrix to:

• do anything illegal or automate an unlawful act;
• scrape, spam, flood or attack other people's systems or services;
• access systems or accounts you are not allowed to access;
• circumvent the trial, pass limits, licence checks or security measures of Seqtrix or any other software;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Seqtrix software;
• resell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the software or a pass;
• publish prohibited content to the share gallery (section 7).

Seqtrix also interacts with your operating system, other software, antivirus and security tools. We are not responsible for conflicts, crashes or data loss arising from those interactions.

13. Intellectual property and licence

The Seqtrix software, branding, website and templates are owned by Seqtrix. Your pass, Lifetime licence or use of Starter gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the software on devices you control, within your tier. It transfers no ownership. The licence shown inside the app at install, also published at seqtrix.com/eula, adds device and copying rules and forms part of these terms.

14. Upcoming, beta and “available soon” items

Anything described as coming soon, available soon, in development or beta, on the site or in the app, is not promised and is not part of what you buy. That includes Pro Lifetime and auto-renew until the day the pricing page offers them, and any community listing of shared sequences until it is switched on. Roadmap items may change or be dropped.

15. Availability and warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows. Software has bugs; the website and sync service may be down. Keep backups before any critical operation. Nothing in these terms removes rights that the consumer law of your country gives you and that cannot be excluded.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, Seqtrix is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of access to encrypted or locked files, damage from running a sequence, time lost during a Focus Lock session, lost profits or business, or interruption of the Service.

Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

17. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold Seqtrix harmless from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use or misuse of the Service, your breach of these terms or the law, anything you publish to the share gallery, or a third-party claim caused by a sequence you ran or shared.

18. Force majeure and export rules

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages at our providers, network failures, government action, natural disasters or attacks. Seqtrix contains encryption; you are responsible for complying with the import, export and use rules for encryption software where you are.

19. Termination

You can stop using Seqtrix at any time and delete your account from account settings or by emailing help@seqtrix.com. We may suspend or end your account for a breach of these terms, with notice where practical; a serious breach (fraud, a chargeback on an activated pass, prohibited content, attacks on the Service) can end it at once without refund. When the agreement ends, your licence ends, your local files stay on your device, and account data is handled as the Privacy Policy describes.

20. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Before any formal step, both sides will try to settle a dispute in good faith by email for 30 days. Any dispute that remains is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. If the mandatory consumer law of your country lets you bring a claim at home, that right is not affected.

21. Severability and entire agreement

If any clause is unenforceable, it is limited to the minimum extent needed and the rest stays in force. These terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund and Cancellation Policy, the Shipping and Delivery Policy and the in-app licence are the whole agreement between you and Seqtrix and replace anything earlier.

22. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a material change we give registered users at least 30 days' notice by email and update the date at the top. A change never shortens a pass you have already paid for. Using the Service after the change takes effect means you accept it.
