Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, downloading, installing, or using Seqtrix or any service available at seqtrix.com (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The service

Seqtrix is a desktop application for workflow automation and file security on Microsoft Windows. seqtrix.com provides account management, software downloads, and product information.

What you receive when you subscribe. The subscription is a licence to install and use the Seqtrix desktop application, including all of its bundled features for the subscribed tier - the visual sequence builder, action types (open application, type text, run command, press key, schedule, encrypt file, etc.), the Mini Mode launcher, cross-device sync, and a library of pre-built sequence templates shipped inside the app.

What templates are.Templates are ready-to-run automation sequences that ship inside the desktop app. They are not separately purchased digital files; they are software functionality unlocked by your subscription tier. A template like “Morning standup prep” or “Quick folder backup” bundles several actions (open apps, type text, run commands, encrypt files) into a single one-click sequence that the user can customise inside the visual editor. Templates are grouped into categories by the use case they serve (quick-start utilities for new users, broader day-to-day workflow categories, and more specialised categories for niche or resource-intensive flows). The current template library and its per-tier availability is always visible on the public templates gallery.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• One account per person. Shared or automated account creation is not permitted.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately at help@seqtrix.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access to your account resulting from your failure to safeguard your credentials.

4. Plans & pricing

• The Free (Starter) tier is available indefinitely and includes the core sequence builder, all trigger types, and a starter set of quick-start templates suitable for first-time users.
• The Advanced tier (billed monthly) unlocks the full action library and additional template categories covering broader day-to-day workflows.
• The Pro tier (billed monthly) unlocks every available template - including specialised categories intended for niche or resource-intensive flows - plus Pro-only actions and cross-device sync.
• The current per-tier template breakdown is visible on the public templates gallery. The library expands over time; assignment of new categories to Advanced or Pro is at our discretion based on the workflow complexity and target user of the category.
• Paid tiers (Advanced and Pro) are billed as recurring monthly subscriptions that auto-renew until you cancel.
• Current prices are listed on the Pricing section. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before changing prices for existing subscribers.
• Currency & international customers.All prices on this site are billed in Indian Rupees (INR) with an approximate US Dollar equivalent shown for reference (e.g. Advanced is INR 299 / month, approximately US$3.50; Pro is INR 599 / month, approximately US$7). Customers paying with a non-Indian card or bank instrument will see the equivalent amount in their local currency at checkout, calculated by our payment processor using the prevailing interbank exchange rate at the time of payment. The settlement to Seqtrix occurs in INR. Your card statement may show a small foreign-transaction fee charged by your issuing bank, which is outside Seqtrix's control.

5. Payments & refunds

• Payments are processed by a PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor authorised by the Reserve Bank of India. Seqtrix does not store credit-card numbers, CVV, bank-account details, or other raw payment instrument data on its servers. All such data is tokenised by the processor in accordance with RBI regulations.
• Recurring billing & renewal notices. Paid subscriptions auto-renew monthly. For Indian-issued cards, our payment processor sends a pre-debit notification to your registered email at least 24 hours before each renewal charge, as mandated by RBI rules for e-mandates.
• No refunds. Every install of Seqtrix begins with a free 15-day Advanced trial, giving you a full opportunity to evaluate paid features before any payment. Because of that, paid subscriptions are non-refundable. Once a charge is made for a billing cycle, it cannot be refunded - whether that is your first payment or a subsequent renewal. Cancelling stops future renewals only; you retain access to paid features through the end of the cycle you have already paid for. Full details on the Refund & Cancellation Policy page.
• Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from /account/billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period - you retain access to paid features until then, and no further charges are made.
• If a payment fails, we may provide a short grace period (typically 3 to 7 days) before downgrading your account to the Free tier, during which our payment processor will retry the charge per its standard dunning schedule.
• Disputes. If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact help@seqtrix.com before initiating a chargeback. We aim to respond within 2 business days and resolve billing disputes amicably.

6. Your content

Your sequences, encrypted files, vaults, and .seqlock files are your property. We do not claim ownership of any content you create, encrypt, or store using Seqtrix. We do not access, scan, or analyse the contents of your encrypted files.

7. Encryption & security - your responsibility

Seqtrix provides file encryption (AES-256-GCM), password locking for files, folders, and applications, secure vaults, file hiding, and secure deletion (up to 7-pass overwrite conforming to the DoD 5220.22-M standard). By using these features, you acknowledge and accept the following:

• Password responsibility. You are solely responsible for remembering your encryption passwords and Master Password. We do not store, transmit, or have access to your encryption keys or passwords. If you lose or forget a password used to encrypt a file, folder, vault, or application, we cannot recover it for you and the encrypted data will remain permanently inaccessible.
• Secure deletion is irreversible. Files deleted using the secure wipe feature (1-pass, 3-pass, or 7-pass overwrite) are permanently destroyed and cannot be recovered by any means, including by us. Ensure you have adequate backups before using this feature.
• Password-locked items. Applications, folders, and files locked with a password can only be unlocked with the correct password. If you lock a critical application or system file and forget the password, you are responsible for any resulting loss of access.
• No guarantee of absolute security. While we employ industry-standard encryption algorithms and security practices, no software can guarantee absolute protection against all threats. We make no warranty that our security measures are impenetrable under all circumstances.
• Backups. We strongly recommend maintaining independent backups of all important files before applying any encryption, locking, hiding, or secure deletion actions.

8. Templates & automation - your responsibility

Seqtrix executes automation sequences on your local machine - including opening applications, closing processes, simulating keyboard input, running system commands, and modifying files. By using these features, you acknowledge and accept the following:

• Pre-built templates distributed through Seqtrix are provided “as is” for convenience and are not guaranteed to be suitable for your specific system configuration.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing any template or workflow before executing it. This includes templates from Seqtrix, third-party creators, and your own sequences.
• Any data loss, file changes, system modifications, application disruptions, or unintended consequences resulting from running any workflow - whether from pre-built templates, third-party templates, or your own sequences - are your responsibility.
• We are not liable for any damage to your system, data loss, or disruption caused by running any automation workflow through Seqtrix.

9. Third-party software interactions

Seqtrix interacts with your operating system and installed software to perform automation tasks. We are not responsible for conflicts, crashes, incompatibilities, or data loss arising from interactions between Seqtrix and other software, system configurations, antivirus programs, or security tools on your device.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Seqtrix to:

• Perform any illegal activity or automate unlawful actions
• Conduct mass scraping, spamming, or denial-of-service attacks
• Harm, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to other people's systems
• Circumvent trial periods, license restrictions, or security measures
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Seqtrix software
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the software without written permission

11. Intellectual property

The Seqtrix software, branding, website content, and all associated intellectual property are owned by Seqtrix. Your subscription or use of the Free tier grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the software in accordance with your plan tier. This licence does not transfer any ownership rights.

12. Beta & upcoming features

Features described as “coming soon,” “in development,” or “beta” on our website or within the application are not guaranteed to be released. Roadmap items may change, be delayed, or be discontinued at our discretion. Marketing materials describing upcoming features are not binding commitments.

13. Availability & warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Software may contain bugs. We recommend maintaining backups before performing any critical operations.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Seqtrix shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data resulting from encryption, secure deletion, or automation workflows
• Loss of access to files due to forgotten passwords or encryption keys
• Damage to your system from running automation sequences or templates
• Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Interruption of service or inability to access the Service

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Seqtrix and its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Any third-party claim resulting from your use of Seqtrix's automation or security features

16. Force majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, internet or infrastructure outages, third-party service failures, or cyberattacks.

17. Export & compliance

Seqtrix includes encryption functionality. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the use, import, and export of encryption software in your jurisdiction.

18. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may delete your account through the account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, with notice where practicable.

Upon termination, your licence to use the software ends. Your local files (including encrypted files and .seqlock exports) remain on your device and are not affected by account termination. Cloud-synced data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

19. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law. In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal proceedings. Any unresolved disputes shall be submitted to the applicable courts of competent jurisdiction.

20. Severability & entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Seqtrix regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, communications, and understandings.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email to registered users. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
