Seqtrix changelog

Every Windows release of Seqtrix, newest first, written as what changed for you: what you can now do and what stopped breaking. The current version is v0.16.0, and the download page always has the latest installer. Each date is the day that build was published.

40 releases since 25 April 2026

v0.16.0 Focus Lock, Time Saved and the money path

Latest
  • Focus Lock: block the apps and websites that pull you away for 15 minutes to 8 hours or until a clock time, with three strengths. Soft ends any time from the ring or the app, Firm ends only by typing a 24-character code shown on screen, and Hard cannot be ended early: if Seqtrix is killed, a watchdog relaunches the blocker within a minute, and the only way out is one emergency exit per 7 days that takes effect 10 minutes after you ask. Website blocking uses the Windows hosts file, asks for permission once, and shows a local "Focused until 15:30" page. Five focus templates are built on the step, taking the library to 85 templates, 15 free. Soft is free on every plan; Firm, Hard and website blocking need Advanced or Pro.
  • Time Saved: every completed run adds an estimated "done by hand" time. The Dashboard shows this month, all time and runs, each sequence row says what it saves per run, and an optional hourly rate turns it into money. On the 1st, and three days before a pass or trial ends, a monthly recap card sums up your runs, sequences and time saved; signed-in users can also ask for the recap by email.
  • Upgrade when it matters: on Starter you can build and save as many sequences as you like (beyond the 5 your plan runs they wait as Drafts), the 15-day Advanced trial starts with one click from any upgrade dialog and shows a countdown in the sidebar, a pass warns 7, 3 and 1 days before it ends, everything keeps running for 3 days of grace and is then paused, never deleted, and you renew without leaving Seqtrix. Pro Lifetime, a one-time purchase that keeps Pro on all your devices with no end date, appears under the Yearly and Monthly choice and goes on sale soon.
  • Share any sequence as a link anyone can open in Seqtrix: a review screen replaces your folders with placeholders and lets you untick steps, every link is a page on seqtrix.com, and an import preview shows every step (download-and-run commands highlighted) before anything is added. When a friend signs in through your referral link you both get 14 Advanced days.
  • Panic hotkey: one chord locks Windows, locks Master Mode and mutes audio, then encrypts the folders on your Panic list in the background and tells you when it is done. Every plan.
  • Also new: Suggested for you on first launch (three ready-to-run sequences for the apps on your PC, detected locally), a 24-word recovery kit for Master Mode, scheduled unlocks that fire on time even if the app was closed, Close Application by name, Wait until a time of day, a "How Seqtrix works" map, and a one-time Store rating prompt after your 10th successful run. Crash reports are now off until you turn them on in Settings > Privacy.
  • Fixed: key combos typed as text now work on every keyboard layout, the microphone mute mutes the microphone, weekly schedules run on the days you picked, the screenshot template saves the capture, and a paid plan is never lost to a retried payment webhook.
  • Known limitations: the Microsoft Store build cannot block an uninstall during a Hard session (the installer from seqtrix.com can), a browser set to its own DNS over HTTPS provider bypasses website blocking, Firefox was not tested, and Hard survival of a sign-out, a restart or a clock change is built in and covered by tests but was not yet confirmed by hand when these notes were written.

v0.15.0 Describe (AI) and voice control

  • Describe (AI): type what you want in plain English, such as "open Chrome in incognito, wait 3 seconds, then type my email", and a small AI model running on your own PC drafts the steps onto the canvas for you to review before anything runs. It is optional, a one-time setup of about a 2 GB download, needs no GPU, runs fully offline, and nothing you type leaves the machine.
  • The AI only builds actions Seqtrix supports, never invents a step it cannot map, never generates a security action, and tells you plainly when part of a request was left out.
  • Voice control in Mini Mode: right-click the floating ring, choose Voice control, and run a sequence by saying its name or slot number ("run morning boot", "slot three"). It uses the offline speech recognition built into Windows, so nothing is recorded or sent anywhere, and security-protected sequences are never voice-runnable. Push-to-talk is on every plan; hands-free always-listening is an Advanced and Pro upgrade.
  • A Files collection gathers every locked file Seqtrix creates in one place you can browse, instead of hunting for them across folders.
  • Conditional steps: a step can run only when a condition holds, so one sequence can branch instead of you keeping two near-identical copies.
  • File-watch triggers can watch a whole folder tree, not just the top level, and each schedule can filter to the file names or extensions it cares about, so a "new invoice PDF" watcher stops firing on every unrelated file.
  • Fixed: double-clicking the title bar no longer toggles maximise twice or lands on the wrong state, and the window buttons are more robust overall.

v0.14.7 Lower US pricing

  • Advanced is now $4.99 a month and Pro $9.99, or $49 and $99 a year, down from $7.99 and $14.99. Indian pricing is unchanged at ₹299 and ₹599.
  • If you are already on a plan, nothing changes for the period you have paid for.
  • Fixed: the stray white star on the corner of every locked-feature card is gone. It was meant to be a barely visible green watermark and was neither.

v0.14.6 Every template rewritten, live run progress and in-app reports

  • Every template rewritten from scratch into routines real people actually perform: Friday desktop sweep, Client handoff package, My internet is broken, Hand over my laptop, Month-end close. Nothing in the library is a toy any more, no template is shorter than six steps, and the library stands at 83 templates, 22 of which use encryption or locking.
  • Paid tiers are visibly deeper, not just less limited: Starter templates average 6.5 steps, Advanced 8 and Pro 10.6, and Pro templates run whole multi-stage routines end to end. File encryption now appears in 20 templates, up from 1.
  • Test run saves and runs a sequence from inside the editor, and a live progress panel lists every step with what has finished, what is running, what is queued and how long each took, so you can tell a slow step from a stuck one. Hide the panel and the run carries on.
  • Reports open inside Seqtrix instead of being handed to Notepad: scrollable, with a Copy button, and still written to disk. The measuring templates draw a donut chart with real percentages and a sortable table in readable units, and a pulsing dot on Show Report tells you when one is waiting.
  • The Dashboard gains a Workspace tab that leads with anything that failed its last run, what you actually automate, what is scheduled next and which sequences have gone cold. The four Secured Items tabs now explain each feature, and its honest limits, when they are empty.
  • Two new Starter templates, Lock a distracting app away and Vault my recovery codes, make the password lock and the encrypted vault discoverable. The sidebar now leads with Dashboard and Schedules, the tour explains your 15-day trial, and the empty home screen starts from a template.
  • The Developer templates now work on a stock Windows 11 machine instead of assuming developer tools and a particular project folder are already there.
  • Fixed: a command that prints a lot of output no longer hangs the sequence, Windows path variables now work in Security Lock steps, date placeholders such as [TODAY] insert a real date, six templates whose commands could never have run now do, diagnostic templates no longer report Failed when they find nothing, and cancelling a subscription keeps paid access until the end of the period you paid for.

v0.14.5 Honest pricing and a faster way to learn the app

  • An Examples button on every action opens a list of ready-made sequences that actually use that action, with a one-click load onto the canvas. Templates above your plan are shown too, clearly marked, so you can see what an upgrade unlocks.
  • The command library now tells you what a command will do to your PC: each of the 51 built-in Windows commands is graded Safe, Caution or Destructive, and picking a non-safe one first shows a plain-language explanation and the exact command. Nothing runs until you do.
  • Yearly billing and currency choice in Settings: plan cards switch between monthly and yearly, with the real saving shown, and between USD and INR. The default follows your Windows region.
  • Fixed: templates that lock or encrypt a folder written with a Windows path variable now find it and no longer sign you out afterwards, and date placeholders such as [TODAY] insert the real date instead of the literal text.
  • Fixed: six built-in commands that pair PowerShell with a pipe now run, including Show WiFi password and Block sites via hosts, and a command that prints a lot of output no longer stalls the sequence forever.
  • Fixed: your sequence library can no longer be lost if the app or PC stops mid-save. Saves are now atomic, a backup copy is kept, and a damaged file is preserved and recovered from the backup instead of being discarded.
  • Fixed: plan prices in the app were badly out of date and are now read from the same price table the checkout uses, and paid amounts show in the currency you were actually charged in rather than always in rupees.
  • Fixed: the plan comparison advertised features that do not exist. Every line now matches what the app enforces, including the real Advanced limit of 50 sequences.

v0.14.4 Visual polish

  • A brighter brand mark across the title bar and empty states.
  • A redesigned theme picker in Settings > Appearance.
  • The native Windows right-click menu replaces the custom one, so copy, paste and spell-check behave the way they do everywhere else.

v0.14.3 Microsoft Store installs update through the Store

  • Fixed: the in-app updater no longer runs on Microsoft Store installs, where it could download an update but never apply it. The Store now handles those updates in the background, as intended.
  • Settings > About > Updates hides the Check for updates button on Store installs and says that updates are managed by Microsoft Store.
  • Installs from the download page are unaffected and keep checking for updates on launch.

v0.14.2 Templates panel layout

  • The action palette on the left of the Sequence Editor is wider, so the Templates, Workflow and Security lists have room to breathe.
  • Template category chips sit on a single row that scrolls sideways instead of wrapping and eating vertical space.
  • A thinner scrollbar on the template list keeps the cards as the visual focus.

v0.14.1 Automatic update check on launch

  • Seqtrix now actually checks for updates about five seconds after launch. Settings > About had claimed this for a while, but only the manual Check for updates button worked.
  • A new version downloads silently in the background, then a toast tells you it is ready with a one-click Restart now button.
  • Download and install are separate steps, so the installer never closes the app mid-task. You choose when to restart.

v0.14.0 Templates in the Sequence Editor

  • A Templates tab in the editor palette, alongside Workflow and Security, lets you browse pre-built sequences for common automations, productivity routines and security setups and apply one to the canvas in a click.
  • Each template shows the minimum plan it needs. Templates outside your plan stay visible so you know what is there, but offer an upgrade instead of applying.
  • Applying a template over a canvas that already has actions asks for confirmation first. An empty canvas applies immediately.
  • The Home page can open the Templates panel directly, so other parts of the app can send you straight to browsing.
  • The default Windows installer now bundles the offline WebView2 runtime, so Seqtrix installs cleanly on a machine without internet during setup.
  • Fixed: a configuration problem that was silently breaking the Microsoft Store build.

v0.12.1 Anti-piracy hardening

  • Paid features now unlock only with a valid signature issued by our server and checked inside the compiled app, so editing local files no longer grants Advanced or Pro.
  • Offline grace is now 24 hours instead of 7 days. If the app has not been online in the last day it drops to the free tier until it can re-check your subscription.
  • Each plan check writes an audit record on our server so anomalies can be spotted. It holds only a device fingerprint hash, the resolved tier, the linked account id when there is one, and coarse request metadata. No file contents, no encryption keys.

v0.12.0 Subscriptions arrive

  • Upgrade to Advanced or Pro from inside the app or on seqtrix.com through our payment partner's hosted checkout (in test mode at this release). Your plan flips within seconds of payment and paid features unlock on the next launch.
  • About > Manage subscription now opens your subscription page with our payment partner, so you can pause, cancel or change card without leaving the desktop. Your account email shows next to the plan badge.
  • New passwords must be at least 12 characters with a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter and a digit, on both sign-up and reset. Existing sign-ins are unaffected.
  • Privacy Policy and Terms open the pages on seqtrix.com directly, and the Privacy Policy gains a section on how Google sign-in data is handled.
  • Fixed: upgrading from the desktop or the portal no longer lands on a payment error page instead of the checkout.
  • Fixed: staying signed in to seqtrix.com now lasts a year, so closing the browser or restarting no longer signs you out of the portal.

v0.11.3 Forgot password and password management

  • Forgot password: the sign-in form in Settings > Account has a Forgot? link. Enter your email and a reset link arrives that opens seqtrix.com, where you set a new password.
  • Set or change your password from Settings > Account > Password. Google sign-in users can add a password and sign in with email too.
  • Privacy Policy and Terms in Settings > About > Legal now open the rendered pages on seqtrix.com instead of a raw text view.
  • Behind the scenes, the server side of the paid plans went live with this update. The in-app upgrade flow followed in v0.12.0.

v0.11.2

  • Published to the update feed as an automated mirror of Seqtrix 0.11.2. No separate release notes were written for this version.

v0.11.1

  • Published to the update feed as an automated mirror of Seqtrix 0.11.1. No separate release notes were written for this version.

v0.11.0 Accounts and cloud sync

  • Accounts: sign in or create an account in Settings > Account with email and password, or continue with Google. Seqtrix still works fully offline; accounts are optional and unlock cloud features.
  • Cloud sync: turn on "Mirror sequences to the cloud on save" in Settings > Sync and every save also writes a copy to your account. The local copy stays the source of truth and a cloud failure never blocks a save.
  • Cross-device restore lists your cloud sequences and lets you pick which to pull onto a fresh install, with no manual export and import.
  • The first-run tour gains a fifth, skippable sign-in step that you can dismiss and never see again.
  • Exported sequence files record who sent them when you are signed in, so a future import flow can show where a shared sequence came from.

v0.10.5 Branded installer, What's new and feedback

  • A branded installer: a Seqtrix welcome page with the brand mark and tagline, an EULA acceptance step and header artwork on every page.
  • What's new in Settings > About opens the changelog inside the app, and after each update a small toast surfaces the highlights once.
  • Send feedback, in Settings > About and in the Help overlay, pre-fills your email client with the app version and OS so problems are quicker to triage.
  • Settings > Privacy hosts toggles for crash reporting (on by default, you can opt out) and anonymous usage analytics (off by default, opt in).
  • Error toasts offer a Report issue action that opens the feedback form with the error context filled in.

v0.10.4 Legal agreement on first launch

  • First launch shows a one-time agreement covering the EULA, Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Existing users see only the gate, not a forced re-tour.
  • Settings > About > Legal has three buttons that open the current documents in your browser. They can be updated without a new app release.
  • Updates now come through the public release mirror, so the app keeps updating while the source code stays private.

v0.10.3 Hotkey, file and system triggers

  • Global hotkey triggers: press a system-wide chord such as Ctrl + Alt + T anywhere in Windows to fire a sequence, even when Seqtrix is not focused.
  • File-watcher triggers: watch a file or folder and fire on create, modify, delete or any change. A burst of editor saves collapses into one run.
  • System-event triggers: fire on login, after a set number of idle minutes, or on return from idle.
  • Three new help topics in the in-app docs cover the new triggers.

v0.10.2 Automatic updates

  • Seqtrix now checks the public release feed for new versions and offers a one-click install. No more manual downloads.
  • A manual Check for updates button in Settings > About.
  • Every release is now built and signed by one automated pipeline, so each version ships the same way.

v0.10.1 Updater groundwork

  • The first build with the automatic updater compiled in.
  • Its initial update feed was replaced in v0.10.2 once the public release mirror was set up.

Predates the public release mirror, so no installer for this version is published.

v0.10.0 SequenceFlow becomes Seqtrix

  • SequenceFlow is now Seqtrix, with a new logo, a new tagline and a new locked-file type (.seqlock) alongside the earlier .sflocked.
  • Quick Run palette (Ctrl + K) runs any sequence by name from anywhere in the app.
  • A unified Settings overlay (Ctrl + ,) with Appearance, Triggers, Security and About, a searchable Help overlay (Ctrl + / or ?), and a first-run welcome tour.
  • A progress stripe and a running pill in the menu bar while sequences fire, with success and failure toasts that link to the report.
  • A redesigned home page with filter chips and quick actions, empty states with the breathing brand mark, and five starter templates such as Open Notepad and a 25-minute focus timer.
  • An editor save indicator, undo and redo (Ctrl + Z, Ctrl + Shift + Z), and sequence import and export through versioned share files.

Predates the public release mirror, so no installer for this version is published.
